Cookie policy

1. WHAT COOKIES ARE

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Sites also use similar browser storage (called local storage and session storage) for the same kinds of jobs. This page explains what painkllr.com stores, why, and how to control it. It applies to the website; the PAINKLLR app is covered by the Privacy Policy.

2. ESSENTIAL: THINGS THAT MAKE THE SITE WORK

Signing in. When you log in, secure authentication cookies keep you signed in between pages and expire when your session does. Without them there is no account, no registrations, no downloads.

Bot protection. Public forms carry a short-lived signed challenge so we can tell a person from a script. It holds no personal data.

Loading and preferences. We remember, in your browser only, that you've seen the intro animation, that you dismissed the cookie notice, and that you unlocked the free downloads. None of this leaves your device.

Essential storage doesn't need consent, because the site can't function without it.

3. ANALYTICS: OUR OWN, NOT ANYONE ELSE'S

We set one first-party cookie, painkllr_session, which holds a random identifier and lasts 30 days. It lets us count visits, see which pages and events people look at, and understand where sign-ups come from. The data goes to our own database, not to an advertising network, and it isn't combined with your identity unless you are signed in to an account.

We don't use Google Analytics, Meta pixels or any other third-party tracking on the site, and we don't follow you to other websites.

4. THIRD PARTIES THAT APPEAR ON THE PAGE

Stripe. Payments happen on Stripe's secure checkout. Stripe sets its own cookies there to prevent fraud; its cookie policy applies while you're on that page.

Spotify. Playlist pages embed a Spotify player, which may set Spotify cookies, especially if you're logged in to Spotify.

Video and social embeds. Where we embed a video or link to Instagram or YouTube, those services may set cookies once the embed loads or you follow the link.

We don't control these cookies. Each provider's own policy governs them.

5. YOUR CHOICES

Browser settings. Every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking essential storage will sign you out and may break registration and downloads.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an instruction not to sell or share your data. We don't sell or share personal data with advertisers in any case.

Do not sell or share. Residents of California and other states with similar laws can read more and make a request in the Privacy Policy under "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information".

6. CHANGES

If we add a new cookie or a new third party, this page changes first. The effective date at the top tells you when. Questions go to hello@painkllr.com.
